Comet's Story...
You know Dasher and Dancer and Blitzen ....Well Comet is tired of dashing across the skies. He'd like to retire and become part of a family. Perhaps yours

Comet is about 3-4 years old and weighs about 52lbs,

I just love Comet. He is a very calm, sensible dog and for the life of me cannot understand how a precious guy like this is still with us. He has been with us about a year and is absolutely a wonderful dog. He loves people and gets along with all dogs that we have had him with. In fact we had a dog that was hard to fit with any other dogs but when we paired her with Comet, she and Comet became great friends. He is very much a gentleman and is very sweet and lovable. More than anything Comet loves to play ball and when we go into feed or clean kennels we will spend time socializing and he loves for us to keep throwing the ball so he can chase it. He brings it back to you but he wants you to wait until he wants to drop it so you can throw it again. I have not seen an aggressive side to Comet but he will hold his own if he has to. Please think about Comet and give him a second look when you are wanting another dog or the first dog. I think you will love him as much as we do.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Comet, a Hillsboro Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
