Elsie's Story...
I am a baby girl by the name of Elsie, I came here with my sister Echo in hopes of finding a wonderful home. A family to raise me and train me and cherish me my whole life through. I am a youngster, only about 4-5 months old and I am a petite little thing only 12 pounds or so. People say I might have some Chihuahua in me but it hard to know for sure what I am- the only thing we know for certain is that I am one sweet adorable pooch! I will probably be around 25-30 pounds at most when I am all done growing – pretty great huh! My adoption fee is $200 and includes; current shots, reduced cost spay and $25 spay rebate, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area only),1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsie, a Portland Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
