Facts about Mia

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Mia is an active and playful girl. She was left on a doorstep with her babies and is now a fine addition in her foster home. Her mommy job is done now and she awaits her own Forever Home. She is a medium-sized, very funny dog. Mia has a sweet little hand shake and will gently pursue your attention by raising her paws. She is young, active, and very playful. Mia is currently living with six other dogs whom she does well with and really wants to play. Her yard sprint is fast and she enjoys a good roll and tumble with her best buds. Indoors she will lie in her “place on her bed”.
Please do not mistake her anxious, initial introduction. She is not aggressive but, timid at first and takes a few moments at the first meet (especially with men). After a small time period to trust, she settles in and bonds.

Mia is an Aussie/black lab mix born approximately February 2013

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.

About You Lucky Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We believe it is our moral responsibility to save, protect, and improve the lives of these dogs through the help of committed volunteers, foster homes, donors, local veterinarians, and trainers. Our Adoption Process...

Our Mission is to ensure the best fit for each individual dog and applicant. We will not make arrangements for you to meet any dogs outside of an adoption event until you have completed the adoption application. In addition, a dog will not be placed in your home before You Lucky Dog has conducted a thorough reference check and completed a home visit. Please understand that the adoption and home visit process is not designed to be frustrating and drawn out, but rather to guarantee the safety and happiness of the dogs. During the home check, we will make sure that each pet in that home has been neutered/spayed and is up to date on all of their shots. The home check will be completed by the foster for the dog that you are considering adopting when feasible. Our foster parents dedicate their time and money to loving and training these dogs, and we rely on their input when meeting with a potential adopter. If your application is approved and your home visit meets the requirements that we have established, you will be required to sign a contract in order to complete the adoption process. The adoption fee is $300. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots prior to adoptions.
