Eddie's Story...
Eddie is so adorable as he scampers down the park path, delighting in the company of his volunteer companion and in the opportunity to be out in the fresh air and sunshine, it is almost not to be believed! This sweet sprite of a puppy has a wonderfully happy temperament and the boundless curiosity of the young pooch that he is. Always excited to come upon another dog, Eddie demonstrates a healthy interest in playing with him or her, with nary a whiff of aggression to be found. Frolicking through the flowers and tall grass on his long, thin legs, his light brown-brindled coat gleaming in the sun, Eddie could almost pass for a fawn grazing in a meadow. We think Eddie would do fine in a home with another dog and suggest that you bring your dog with you to the shelter for an introduction, if you are considering giving Eddie his much deserved forever-home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eddie, a Berkeley American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
