Hi there. My name is Elaine. I am about 10 months old and I weigh about 40-45 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Columbiana area. I was very scared. It took her a while to catch me because I am very scared and can be nervous at first with new people. She had me for almost 10 days. She started getting me fattened up and was taking care of me... that was until her landlord found out... Apparently, she wasn't allowed to have dogs, so he gave her only a couple of days to find me a place to go. After trying everyplace else, she had no other option than the pound or eviction.
It's not bad here. Actually, in just the short amount of time I have been here, I have really opened up and turned in to a very nice little girl!
I am good with people and I get along well with other dogs.
I am energetic, so I would love a home where I am able to get plenty of exercise.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 22, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
**UPDATE** I WILL BE AT THE VET RECEIVING MY VETTING UNTIL FRIDAY AUGUST 29, 2014. I WILL BE BACK AND WILL BE AVAILABLE TO MEET POTENTIAL NEW FAMILIES ANYTIME AFTER 12:30 ON FRIDAY AUGUST 29, 2014.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
