My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a wonderful, delightful, sweet heart of a dog. She is coming out of her shell very slowly at her foster home but is showing excitement when it is time to eat, go outside, etc. Her foster moms says "she is still a bit timid but wags her tail pretty hard when I walk up to her. She is eating well, plays with her foster brother Sacha a lot, and typically doesn't leave the living room floor when inside. When outside I see her running everywhere with Sacha. He just won’t leave her alone but she loves him now and just gives him a quick bark when he gets too rough. She's coming out of shell pretty quickly but is still quiet for the most part.

Age: 1 yr. old
Gender: Female
Mix/Purebred: Shepherd mix
Housetrained: Assessing
Crate trained: Assessing, will train
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Negative
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Micro chipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes, but timid
Good with cats: Assessing
Good with children: Yes, very loving and loves attention

It takes her a while to warm up to new people and still crawls on her belly when you call her to come to you. She is such an easy going dog. No trouble at all. She eats her food first and then runs to Sacha’s bowl to finish up his meal but he doesn't mind. Neither of them is food aggressive which is a blessing. She seems to thrive around other dogs, and even the cat at the vet visit.

She does like her crate, and I guess she feels secure in there. She walks much better on a leash if she has another dog along for the walk, or if you talk to her and encourage her. She just needs a lot of love.

Apply for Maggie if you think your family would enjoy this adorable little furry companion waiting for her forever home.
