Earl the Pearl's Story...
Earl the Pearl is the George Clooney of the puppy world; he’s handsome, very smart, confident, and not afraid to laugh at himself. Earl likes to take the lead when planning the puppies’ daily activities. He has a bunch of confidence for such a little pup and he’s always looking for a new adventure. When Earl is ready for a nap, you can usually find him on his back with all four legs in the air. He just loves belly rubs and gives his foster mom many kisses in return. Earl is going to make a fine family dog!
The first step in applying for one of our pets is to fill out an application. This in no way obligates you to adopt. It helps our foster parents learn more about you, which helps them determine if the pet would be a good fit for your situation. Please log on to our website at www.bbcra.org then click on the button on the left-hand side that says Apply to Adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Earl the Pearl, a Pittsboro/Durham Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Pittsboro/Durham, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Pittsboro/Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsboro/Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsboro/Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsboro/Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
