Truman (fostered in NC)'s Story...
Say hello to Truman - another new pup under SCD's care. He's currently being fostered in NC with his little brother Bandit. His foster Mom has cats and dogs and he's fine with both....loves to have his belly rubbed and enjoys running outside and playing in the yard.

Truman is around 3 months old, has had his 2nd round of booster shots and will need to be neutered when he's old enough. His adoption contract will have a neuter clause as this is SCD policy.

Truman likes to chase his brother around the yard and is starting to learn how to walk on a leash and learn his commands. He's going to make a great addition to someone's family!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Truman (fostered in NC), a Cranston Carolina Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Carolina Dog for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Carolina Dog puppy from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Carolina Dog breeders who help with Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
