My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Penelope. I was living on a farm with my mother and brothers and sisters, when one warm day a man put all of us puppies in the back of a truck and closed the top down with a snap. Our Mama was left behind. It was black dark and I was scared but there were six of us, so we huddled together. The truck started and we all bumped over the road. After a while I could hear lots of sounds like other trucks, which were familiar to us. Then, suddenly, the truck stopped, the top popped open and the man started lifting us out one by one and giving us to different people. Before I realized it only two of us were left. It all happened very fast. Then a lady took us away to her house. I am about 7 lbs. in weight. I heard that I am a Smooth Haired Retriever, I am a good puppy, quite and laid back but I like to play too. I have gotten some shots and now I am waiting for a nice person to adopt me. I love everyone, especially children, other dogs and cats. Before I left my Mama I just had time to promised her that I would always be a good dog. My foster Mom says that I am the best.

Penelope is a gorgeous big puppy; calm and laid back. If you are looking for a big breed puppy Penelope would be perfect for you. To meet her please email or call Jennifer at jjazzette11@aol.com or 901-831-3935. Please give Penelope a loving home. She will be a joy for you and your children. Her foster said that she reminded her of NaNa the dog that was Wendy's Nanny in the book "Peter Pan."
