Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The shelter got a call that a stray dog was wandering with a face full of porcupine quills. The dog was found and immediately taken to the vet. The quills were so many, they had to open up this boy's shoulder to get all of them out. The vet named him Joe and now he's at the shelter. He is recovering well from the surgery. He's a happy boy who doesn't seem to have a care in the world. He goes to everyone eagerly and that tail never stops wagging. Joe is only a year old and about 35lbs. He will recover from his surgery with no lasting effects. He just needs to find a home. If not reclaimed by his owner, Joe will be available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control on September 2. Please call 231-861-5395. ** Ask about possible Adoption Transportation assistance if you are not in the local area.** The adoption fee is $95. All adult dogs will be spayed/neutered and up to date on shots before adoption.
