Hello there! My name is Bruce Willis! I am about 2 years old and I weigh about 65 lbs.
I was found by a super nice lady (my foster mom) after apparently being hit by a car. I had a broken leg. She took me to the vet clinic to see what was going on with me.
It turns out that I had a shattered bone in my leg as well as complete nerve damage to my leg. The vet estimated that my injuries were at least 5 days old. At that point, there was no saving my leg, so in order to give me a quality of life and save my life, the pound gave the vet the okay to do an amputation. The pound cannot afford these surgeries and relies on donations from the public to be able to continue to save dogs that are injured as opposed to automatically euthanizing them. If you're able to make a contribution to my vet care and surgery, the info is listed at the bottom of my story.
Enough now on the "boring" stuff and more about me!...
I am a super sweet fellow! Foster mom just LOVES me!`She says I am a really great boy. Here is what she can tell you about me:
I am a great boy inside the house. I am housebroken. I am even fine when I am left home alone. When foster mom leaves me alone at home, she usually returns to me sleeping happily in her bed. I don't even mess around in the trash, which is just the perfect height. I don't even try when there is yummy food thrown away. I get along great with other dogs. Foster brother is a 14 year old lab. I also met foster grandma's 3 small dogs and I did great with them too.
I LOVE sleeping in bed. I also LOVE fetching sticks.I LOVE car rides.
***Donations for Bruce's leg amputation are desperately needed as we cannot afford to save injured dogs unless we keep a steady amount of donations coming in, especially this time of the year when so many people let their dogs run at large.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER .
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
