My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHINA is a 9 year old yellow spayed female Lab who weighs 73 pounds China is a doll! She is a very affectionate and friendly girl that loves attention from her humans. China is house trained and crate trained. She is used to having the crate door open so she can go in the crate to relax. China knows the commands: sit, back, down, come and paw. China enjoys going for walks and likes to play outside in the yard. She is good with both large and small dogs. Cats are unknown as she has never lived with them. China is approved for kids 8+ (as she has gotten older, younger kids are a little too much for her). More info on her soon!

Foster update (8/27): China is loving life! She is having some trouble with the stairs that don't have carpet on them. She should either do to a home that doesn't have many stairs or only carpeted stairs. She really is as sweet as she can be. I'm seeing an adorable stubborn streak and wants to do what she wants to! She is adapting well. She loves her people and would do best in a family where she doesn't have to spend a long workday alone.

Update (8/25): China's foster picked her up at the kennel last night after work and I don't think she stopped smiling and wagging all night. Well, she did take a couple of snoozes. She has eyes that shine with anticipation when you talk to her. She melts into you while you pet her, such a love bug. So far, she rides in the car well, even found the button to recline the front seat so she could have more room, walks well on a leash, doesn't beg at the table, or counter surf. She likes to take a few kibbles out of her dish, put them on the floor and then eat them, so dainty. China is 9 but as our son said, a pretty perky 9!

From LR evaluator: She is very relaxed, but was so excited to have some attention. She basically curled up on me once she realized I wanted to touch her. Every time I would get up and move away from her, she would follow, and when I would bend to her she would kiss my face, hands, whatever was available. She loves to be scratched on the back of her neck and her chest—just barely rubbing those areas make her back leg go! China is a low key lady who needs a soft place to land for her golden years.
