found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Porter and Elvin were living as outside cats. Their caretaker sadly experienced financial problems and was losing his property, leaving Porter and Elvin homeless. When they came to Stray Cat Blues’ barn cat foster home, it was found that they were in fact very gentle and friendly. So, we want to give these boys a better life, and get them adopted as inside cats.
Elvin is super friendly. Porter “talks tough” by hissing at you to start, but he’s really all bark and no bite. His gentle side is quickly apparent once he settles.
Both of these boys at some point during their outside life became FIV positive. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV can suppress the immune system but most cats live very long and healthy lives with FIV. For more information on FIV our volunteers would be happy to discuss this condition with you. FIV cannot be spread to people or to non-cat pets such as dogs. FIV+ cats are sweet, funny, affectionate, and playful, just as any other cat!
Porter and Elvin get along well and would love to go to a home together. They can also be adopted separately.
Porter and Elvin are both neutered, litterbox trained, and are up to date on vaccinations. They have tested negative for FeLV but positive for FIV. They are healthy, with the exception of Porter’s very occasional sneezing. They are both already microchipped, and have been bathed and groomed!
We estimate that Elvin is 6 years old, and Porter is 9 years old. Please give these two cats a chance. You will be very glad that you did!
