MEET UMBERTO....or as he is fondly known at his foster home as "scrappy." This petite, sweet, 10 lb, gold/white, 2 yr old Shih Tzu is precious. He came to us from South Central with a nasty pelvic fracture and he has taken a very long time to heal. That being said, it has never held him down! Look at that face....he's delicious! Umberto is a wonderful combination of fun and play...rest and independence. He is a follower, not a leader! He will do whatever the other dogs are doing...and do it with glee! He loves to play with his toys, play with the other dogs, try to get to know the cats (who don't want to get to know him) and just enjoy himself! He is very smart and wants to please his people. Have plenty of chew toys and treats for him so that he doesn't get into trouble. Hopefully, you are into modern furniture (joking!). Everything he does is adorable, even when he is following you into the bathroom!! He is very smart and learns quickly. Seems to be potty trained, but we never guarantee. Umberto MUST have another young, small, playful dog in his life, so if you don't have one, he wouldn't be the guy for you! This is a wonderful dog who will be great in any home....even kids over 8 yrs old will be happy with this youngster...and so will you with just a bit of training! Here comes Umberto!!!
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
