My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BEBE is a 1 year old black spayed female who weighs 62 pounds She''s a very cute and affectionate young Lab. She is house trained and crate trained. Bebe is good on leash and loves to go for walks. Bebe seems to know the commands: sit and down. She is very submissive with other dogs. She hasn't had a lot of exposure to other dogs, so she may be a little shy at first but will relax after a few minutes. Bebe loves to play with toys and balls and may enjoy a yard to run around in. She is approved for kids aged 10+.

Update (9/04): Bebe is starting to figure out the rules of the house but definitely thinks that those "rules" should be replaced with constant playtime. She's thriving with the other dogs, especially the other young, excited ones. They play together a ton, but Bebe still thinks fetch reigns supreme. She doesn't really "initiate" play much yet but is happy to join in the fun! She hasn't yet chewed on anything inappropriate but does like to destruct and de-stuff toys and sometimes tennis balls. She'll chew on a bone or antler for a few minutes, but mostly wants to play fetch. She is very good at sharing toys - and will happily trade them back and forth, and has been known to play tug with a tennis ball. This girl would LOVE to go to a home with water (pool, pond, ocean, river, stream, puddle), as it is by far her favorite thing, right after fetch. She's an incredibly sweet, silly pup looking for a family to give her the love, time and attention it takes to exhaust her!

Update (8/31): Bebe is an incredibly sweet girl. Though she hadn't been around other dogs much before meeting her foster's pack, she's integrated seamlessly, and loves playing, chasing, and wrestling with the youngest canines. She is a high energy girl, who loves to chase tennis balls and is great about giving them back to you, so you can throw them again (and again...). She shares toys very nicely with the other labs. She knows sit, and down, but is a bit of a wiggle butt and occasionally can't focus enough to do as you ask. However, she's very eager to please, and sweet, and has a wicked lab lean. She loves the kiddie pool of water, and will play and splash, and chase and "eat" the water. She will go in the crate reluctantly for a treat, but settles quickly when in there, even at night.

From LR evaluator: Bebe is a beautiful young Labrador. She was fine with meeting my dog after she relaxed for a few minutes. She was excited to meet me, shy at first but once I spoke to her she was very friendly and enthusiastic. She will make her new family very happy!
