Money's Story...
Heartworm Foster Needed

Money is the third dog rescued from Trumbull County Dog Pound in the last few weeks who has sadly turned up heartworm positive

It is possible for heartworm dogs to recover, but we need your help to make it happen!

He will need a foster home for the next four months during treatment. He is perfectly safe to b around other dogs as long as they are on heartworm preventative.

Money is a 3 year old Pit mix. He's very friendly and seems to like children and other dogs.

This is a great way to foster a dog while he undergoes treatment, then maybe adopt him once he tests negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Money, a Struthers American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Struthers, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Struthers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Struthers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Struthers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Struthers paves the way for another one to be saved.
