My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lucky and Bear, the two sweetest bonded brothers we've ever come across! In addition to being the gentlest, happiest, friendliest little guys, they are indescribably adorable. If you think they're cute in their pictures (which of course you do, how could you not?), you haven't seen anything yet! Just meet them in person and you'll get to experience their fluffiness, cuddliness, cuteness, and all that good stuff full force. In addition to their cute exterior, they have wonderful personalities. Lucky is a goofy boy who loves belly rubs, leisurely mornings, exhilarating walks, and sleeping by your side. Bear is an extroverted happy senior boy who loves everyone and everything, none more so than his brother (a mutual feeling, we assure you). He loves to play with tennis balls and squeaky toys, and both will happily join you in the backyard to run around a bit.

They are great with dogs, even the little ones and the young annoying ones. They do prefer calmer canine companions, who could accompany them on leisurely strolls around the yard, and nap with them on their bed (it would have to be a very large bed, granted, as these are two very big boys). They also ignored cats when tested. As senior guys, they'd prefer a home without young children, as those can make them nervous. They would love a yard to explore and play in (Bear loves tennis balls and anything squeaky, while Lucky begins to bark and bounce up and down when he gets excited), and someone who would take them on walks. No stairs (or at least very few, unless you want to carry him) is a must due to Lucky's severe arthritis, although they may do okay in a multi-floor home if they are blocked from the staircase.

And, best of all, Lucky and Bear are perfect gentlemen with impeccable manners. They know sit, shake, down, and speak. If you think you can't teach an old dog new tricks, just watch! Both are incredibly food motivated and will learn anything to get a tasty treat! They are housetrained and will use a doggie door, they only get up on the bed when asked, they ride nicely in the car (and look forward to car rides with their people).

Perfect, right? We sure think so! Apply today and maybe you'll be the lucky person who gets to have Bear and Lucky in your family! Email us at caylebskindred@gmail.com for an application or with any questions you may have.
