My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DAN is a 6-8 year old black neutered male Lab who weighs 46 pounds (needs to gain about 9-14 lbs). He has a good temperament and is very mellow. He seems to have been outside a lot, because his fur is sunbleached. He is also very underweight, so he'll need to gain some weight. Dan was calm when the rescue volunteers came to his kennel to get him out for his evaluation. Dan met the rescue volunteer's male dog. He was just watching him and then relaxed and greeted him when he got close. The two were walked together and were fine. Dan then met the rescue volunteer's female dog. They greeted and sniffed. Then they were walked around together and were fine. He's approved for kids aged 10+.

Update (10/2) Dan is doing great! He is slowly gaining weight and his coat is starting to look much better! He has figured out how to be an indoor dog and enjoys the wide variety of dog beds at his fosters. He is an easy dog - a couple of short walks every day is all he needs. He follows his foster around the house and keeps an eye on things. He gets along fine with the resident dogs and is happy to meet new dogs on his walks. He has shown some interest in the cats, and I think he would give chase if they ran.

From LR transporter: Dan is a sweet boy! He rode well and just politely looked out the window most of the time. Dan definitely needs to gain a few pounds.
