Profile: Athena is our come-back-kid at BRLA. She was brought to us with a horrible case of mange. She went straight into foster care and from the scabby crusty girl emerged a beautiful brindle babe. Her foster home had five other Boxers and Athena loves pack life. She gets alone with all the dogs in her pack. She does need some outside leash manners and is working on that. But cut this little one loose in the yard with canine friends and stand back to watch all the fun. Athena is a tiny pocket Boxer full of energy and would love an active family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Encino Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
