My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a handsome fellow COLBY is! I know being a hound, people think "hunting" or "baying" and neither is the case for Colby. Colby was surrendered to us because he WOULDN'T hunt and in our area of the country, hunting is a big deal. Colby just enjoyed playing in the woods and with his fellow hunting dogs, but when it came time to go after his prey, he couldn't care less. He doesn't bark or bay much at all. In fact, the foster says she has not heard him bark at all. We are sure he does, but he is not vocal. Colby is a handsome Bluetick/black & tan hound mix. He is male, approx 10 - 12 months old, and weighs approx 45 lbs. He was a little thin when he arrived, but he should be close to his adult weight. Colby has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccines, and is testing heart worm negative. He is on all monthly preventatives. Colby is great with other dogs and cats. He is quite the lover and will just lean into you for you to pet him. Loves affection and attention and you will probably be rewarded with a good face licking. Just cannot comment on how gorgeous he is. Sleek black coat with tan trim and a small patch of speckled black and white on his chest. Wonderfully friendly dog. More pictures available.
