Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Katness came to me pregnant and in the most stressful of circumstances it took just a few days to win her trust. Food helped. She is very treat driven. Something, or someone has very obviously hurt her and you have to allow her time to know you are not one of those people. But once you have her trust, you have it! She actually came and got me when she went into labor and wanted me there, wanted me to have my hands on her back etc. She is really just the sweetest, most patient girl I have ever met. Most of her time with me has been spent raising her litter. And what a great mom she has been!! I call her the \'helicopter mom\'. We do have two dogs, and she, and all the kittens are getting along just fine. I am not sure how she would react to other cats. I think it would depend on the attitude of the other cat. She is a very laid back girl, but she does not like new circumstances... like going to the vet. At first, she was very guarded about her back, but now there is no problem. Even the grandsons pick her up and she never objects or scratches.
She is VERY vocal! Loves to talk to you, sleeps on my bed every night. Loves to watch all the critters in our yard, loves to explore any open door. Always comes if you open the fridge, you know, just in case there is food. She is not in the least annoying though. Very regal cat. She really does not seek you out for petting, but does love it when you stop to pet her. I think after time she would seek you out and especially once all her babies are gone. She is completely litter trained, has had zero accidents in the house. All in all... she is a very lovely, sweet cat who obviously has overcome a harsh past.
Katness is about 4 years old she is white with tabby markings. Katness is now available for viewing and adoption at the Petsmart in McHenry. Adoption event hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11 til 2 but arrangements can be made anytime during the week by calling Amy at 815-814-3575.
