Moe - Courtesy Post's Story...
Moe is a mastiff/lab mix. He is about 4 years old and weighs approximately 90 lbs (he was 73 when we got him at the shelter!). His brother, Tank, also got rescued with him but has found his forever home with my best friend. Moe is up to date on all his shots and is fixed. He had hot spots when we got him but he is now healthy as can be. He loves people and playing with other dogs! He is very cat aggressive though. He has a very high prey drive for small animals. We believe that he and his brother were never trained and possibly hunted animals to survive in their previous life before the shelter. Moe does love people and loves to cuddle in bed with you! He is also great around kids. He must not be around cats whatsoever though.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moe - Courtesy Post, a Rochester/Buffalo Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mastiff/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
