BUGSY's Story...
Bugsy is not quite ready to go yet as he is new to our rescue but we will be taking applications on him. He is a 6 week old Schnauzer mix boy and he will be ready in about 6-8 weeks to join a new family. Cute as a button with a lively personality. We already know he is very outgoing and he plays well with his buddy, Lulu. He also gets along very well with cats. He is an extremely good puppy. From what we know of his history, he was part of a bottle fed litter. The rest of his siblings were rehomed but for some reason Bugsy was brought into a high kill shelter by someone who believed he would be adopted. But in rural shelters that is very unlikely. So a plea was sent to rescues and who could resist that face? Bugsy has already started his vet care and been treated for worms and fleas and started his series of vaccinations. If you think you can provide a forever home for Bugsy where he can be loved and never be unwanted again, get your application in!
Bugsy's adoption fee is $325 which helps offset the costs of getting him all ready for adoption. For more info or to request an application, contact Dawn at blackdogsrescue@icloud.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BUGSY, a Bluemont Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Bluemont, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Bluemont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bluemont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bluemont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bluemont paves the way for another one to be saved.
