Check out this beautiful lady. Allie is a great lady that came back to us when her family hit hard times. They asked us to take her back and find her a home that deserves her. For those that have followed Allie since her return, we have learned much about her.
Allie is a very affectionate dog & wants to be near you whenever possible. Her favorite place in the house is next to her people (and if you let her, the bed or couch!). She likes to be outside if you or her other dog friends are, but prefers to lounge inside with the family. She is fantastic with other dogs, curious yet respectful and giving space to those that may not want to be friends. She has been remarkable with cats, and really just ignores them.
She is not the normal size of a Basenji, so she is likely mixed with something much larger. But that mix brings out a relaxed, gentle side to her. She is alert to every sound in & out of the house & will investigate each one of them, but is not overly reactive to new sights and sounds. And she talks when she's excited that you've come home...it's very cute and sweet.
Allie is a smart gal and learns routines quickly. She knows what doorknobs are for & swats at them when she wants outside, and can open the latch on baby gates and kennels. She does not care at all for kennels or being confined in single room, but that's because she doesn't need it and does just fine out and about in the house - during the day and at night.
Allie is ready for her final move into her furever home. Are you ready for her?
