Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maddie is a seven month old Chocolate Lab mix. She is 40 pounds of pure love. Maddie is mellow, gentle, sweeter than sweet and very smart. She is a family dog and loves everyone, but if you are “her person” you and Maddie will have a very special connection.
As a four month old puppy Maddie developed a limp. It was diagnosed she had a common medical problem Labs are prone to, Fragmented Coronoid Process in her elbows. Luv of Dogs made it possible for Maddie to have both elbows scoped and she has been given approval for adoption. She is healing from the scoping and within three months she will be totally healed. The scoping is a onetime procedure and will not need to be repeated.
Maddie has a passion for swimming. She especially loves to fetch a ball in the pool and float on a raft. She jumps in and out of the pool all day long. Swimming is an excellent activity for her elbows.
Maddie is used to having someone home and a busy family coming and going. She has had five dogs to play with her and lots of foster puppies to be silly with. She will need to have another dog or dogs with which play.
Maggie will use a doggie door and is used to having a yard in which to run and play. Maddie should not be running miles or training for marathons, but can have normal activity and walks. She likes to sleep in bed and be included in everything. Maddie is a perfect puppy, ready for her perfect family to find her and make her their new family member and love her forever.
