Pecos Bill's Story...
Pecos Bill here and super happy to meet you all today! I am always ready to make a new human, canine or feline friend. I love toys of all sorts and keeping myself busy is my favorite past time. I like cuddle time too but I am still a baby so love to spend plenty of time romping, adventuring and playing outdoors. I am an all American mixed breed mutt but I certainly have some spaniel in my family tree. I am about 4 months old so not going to get too much bigger and will most likely be a medium size when full grown. I am a smart and full of energy boy who needs a family who enjoys training, working out and a smart canine companion. I am happy and outgoing and eager to join my new family today!
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pecos Bill, a Gloucester Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
