Betsy's Story...
Betsy #1561 is a 1-year-old female, Pekingese mix. This sweet and amazing pup is kennel trained and loves to be held. She is outgoing and always has a happy puppy smile for you. Betsy requires daily lap time and snuggles. She loves to be carried around like the little princess she is. Full of joy and exuberance for life, she would find herself at home with anyone who has a little extra time every day to love her. We believe you can always teach an “old” dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. See our Facebook page for updates: www.facebook.com/LCARMD

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Waldorf Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
