Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there. My name is Ernie! I’m 2 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs.
I was found running as a stray in Wellsville the beginning of August and I was picked up by the pound.
When I was found, I was missing some hair, I had horrible yeasty skin and ear infections. After having my ears treated and being put on a healthier diet, I have now re-grown all of my beautiful coat and my ears are now feeling so much better!!
When I first came in, I was a pretty shy boy but now I’m very friendly. Sometimes I’m just a little shy at first with new people but my shyness wears off very fast.
I’m a super sweet, lovey dovey type of dog. If you’re sitting down, I will come over and gently put my paws on your shoulders because I like getting a cuddly hug and giving you kisses.
I am an excellent boy. I just love coming in to the office where I can mingle with the people and play with the other dogs. Speaking of playing with the other dogs, I also really like to go up in to the play area and play with my dog buddies up there too. I get along with nearly all of the other dogs I meet. I am a playful boy, and I enjoy a good romp, but I also enjoy lounging around and having a nice nap too.
I do seem to be already housebroken. I am great about “holding it” at night rather than going in my kennel and I never have accidents when I am in the office.
If you’re looking for a great dog, please consider adopting me!
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 18, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
