Hi there. My name is Gus Gus. I am about 8 months old and I weigh about 8 lbs.
I was picked up by the pound as a stray in East Liverpool and was brought in to the pound.
When I first came in to the pound I was emaciated, ate up with fleas and I was so frightened by people that I wouldn't let anyone touch me.
In less than a week, I have came around so much that I got to have a bath to help get the fleas and flea dirt off of me. I even let the people touch me, pet me and even pick me up and hold me now! I am just fine as long as you move slow with me. Fast movements terrify me. I was likely abused and neglected before coming to the pound.
I will be great in a home with time and patience.
At this time, the pound feels that I would do best in a home with no small children.
I absolutely LOVE other dogs!!
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT.OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 30, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
