Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Velvet is a sweet little six year old Chihuahua who just lost her home. She is very frightened as a new arrival. She lived with a retiree and was very happy in her home until kids rushed at her with open hands. She nipped in defense and the parents of the children made an issue of it so that her owners were forced to give her up or be evicted. So this little girl sits frightened in a shelter through no fault of her own. She is a sweet little dog who is totally house trained, is not destructive, and just wants someone to love her. She is very confused right now and who can blame her. One day she's enjoying all the comforts of home and the next day she's in a shelter. We think it's best if she goes to an adult home without children and where she enjoys being the only dog. She walks beautifully on leash and is used to apartment living. If you just give her a chance, she will be your best friend forever.
