Lexie's Story...
Hi! I am Lexie, a 6 year old 60 pound shepherd mix.

My life---until August 24th ---consisted of a concrete slab with a chain link fence then a wood fence around that so no one could see me. I had no ventilation and NO SHELTER. Yes I suffered through the torture of 90 degree days that felt like 106. And yes I suffered through severe thunder storms with lightning and hail. I felt like I was in prison ---I figured out a way to break out of prison and that is when Ms Nancy got the call about me. I am safe now and love being inside in the air conditioned space. I am very sweet and will make fabulous pet. I walk well on a leash and I did fine with the car ride too. I just want to be a very good girl and have a wonderful life. I love being outside so a fenced in yard and another large dog to play with would be great!

Please consider me ---I am fully vetted---spayed, hw neg, vaccines up to date, micro-chipped, hw/flea prevention!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Franklin Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
