Leia's Story...
Name: Leia
Color: Black and White
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Months
This outgoing girl is Leia and she is looking for her loving forever home. Cats can live to be 15-20 years of age so she is really looking for someone who is in it for the long haul.
Big fan of: Like most kittens, Leia is going to need tons of toys, love, and stimulation to be happy. Leia is a confident girl who likes to meet new people and explore new surroundings. She also loves to cuddle on laps when given the chance.
Dream Home: Leia was in foster care with her buddy Wicket and she'd like to go home with her or to a home with a mellow male cat who can help show her the ropes. A cat-savvy dog will be alright by her as long as it knows not to chase her. Respectful children are also likely okay as long as they are old enough to know not to play too rough with her little body.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leia, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
