My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed is only a guess! If you are seeing this dog on this site she is available so there is no need to email us checking for availability. Instructions for how to proceed with a meet and greet are provided below. Please read the profile in it's entirety!

Meet sweet, beautiful Smokey! Smokey gets along with everyone. He is 14 years old, 45 pounds, and was surrendered too Chicago Animal Control because the owner lost his home. He was a hot mess...meaning he needed to be groomed. He was groomed two days later and look at how beautiful he is. Smokey has a lot of pep in his step and acts much younger then 14. He clearly has many years of life ahead of him. He is being fostered in Oswego around several other dogs who he is fantastic with, kitties which he has no problem with. He will occasionally make an appearance at Go Dog Go in Oswego. If you need some dog food, stop in pick some up and meet Smokey. He has been marking, but the foster mom is working on that and will begin using a belly band to correct the behavior. Likely from not being neutered when we got him. He is neutered now.

If you think this pup would fit into your family, please fill out our Adoption application which can be found on our website at www.angelsonwheels.org. An approved adoption application is required prior to making an appointment for a meet and greet. We do not have a physical building for you to visit thus the reason an application is required prior to making an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

The adoption fee has been sponsored and will be waived for the right family and with an approved adoption application. The neutering which is now done, senior blood panel, fecal tested, microchip, vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, Bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccinated, treated with Front Line Plus, heart worm tested negative, leash and collar, and any other medical needs. You will also receive a free office visit to one of our participating vets for a free health exam. Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
