Macy's Story...
Macy is a beautiful girl who was picked up as a stray within the city and never reclaimed by an owner. She appears to be Border Collie mixed with Lab and just coming up on her first year of age.

This is an especially nice dog who is quiet, gentle, and well mannered, but does have enough energy in reserves if her owner leads an active lifestyle. She loves people and enjoys going on walks, or snuggling on the floor. Macy is especially partial to belly rubs. While I did not check the house trained box I suspect Macy knows all about living with people indoors. She never makes a mess or tears things up within our shelter.

Macy has her spay appointment scheduled for Sept 30th and will be able to go to her new home before the following weekend. She will make someone an excellent companion!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Bonners Ferry Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bonners Ferry, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bonners Ferry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bonners Ferry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bonners Ferry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bonners Ferry paves the way for another one to be saved.
