My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look at that face! Mercedes is a very sweet, pretty, and happy English Coonhound of the Redticked Variety. She is 1-year-old and weighs about 57#. She was a stray picked up by Animal Control, rescued by a local humane society, then transferred to CARES to make room for more homeless dogs. Quite a story!

Mercedes is housetrained and crate trained. Being a hound, she loves to sniff and she loves food--so keep food off of the counter or it could be hers!

She has enough energy to keep up with an active family, but she also enjoys snuggling up in front of the TV.

Mercedes is good with other dogs, cats, and children. She has some obedience under her belt. She loves the agility course, so if you have an interest in agility, Mercedes is the dog for you!

Mercedes deserves a wonderful home! Who would like to give that to her?


This dog's adoption fee is $235 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if the fee ends in a 5), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
