Serena Sunspot's Story...
Serena is from a litter of three very special kittens. Her mom was nursing her newborns in a cardboard box when we met her and was on the short list at a shelter that uses euthanasia to control their numbers. Leala and her tiny family were in immediate jeopardy. A FOR foster parent brought them home and gave them amazing care. The stress caused Leala to stop producing milk so Serena and her sisters were bottle fed until their Mom could care for them again. Serena has grown to be an amazingly sweet, friendly girl. She was the star of her litter -- there is always one stand out kitten and in this case, it is Serena. She's accustomed to children, other cats, dogs, and is 100% litter pan trained. She needs a forever safe home and we'd love to introduce you to her. She's special and has a amazing rescue story. Please email info@FORrescue.net to learn more. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serena Sunspot, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
