Meet Cashmere AKA "Cassie". She is a 2 and a half year old pit bull mix. Pit bulls have lately gotten a very bad reputation so when a shelter recommends one to us we know that it is a very nice dog. Cassie was picked up as a stray in southern Indiana, I think she may have been used for breeding. She's about 45 solid pounds and has a beautiful champagne colored brindle coat which is soft like cashmere, hence her name. The shelter had said she was good with anyone or anything that crossed her path including other dogs and even cats. I will certainly update this after I've gotten to know her better but she has been fine with the dogs she has met here and loves people. She is so far living up to her reputation as a gentle sweetheart. Cassie has been spayed now and is up to date on her vaccines.
