My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rescue Transfer - DASH RESCUE (KATIE SWINEHART)

Hi All! My name is Reggie! I am new to central Kentucky after The Way Home Rescue Alliance and my foster family pulled me from a shelter in the western side of the state. I had been living at the shelter a little over a month!! I am so happy they saw my picture and decided to help me, but now I need to find my forever home!

I am settling back into home life nicely. My foster family has six other dogs for me to play with they also have quite a few cats. I love when the cats run and I try to chase them but foster mom says cats don’t like the game of chase so I’m learning to control myself around the kitties!! Foster mom says I’m a fast learner and am doing great. I am already potty trained, and I know how to sit and lay down. I know how to stay in a "kennel" when my family has to work or needs to do farm chores. I walk well on a leash, but need a little work yet. They say I am about 2 years old but feel more like a puppy. So I stay fairly active, but do love cuddle time! It’s a good thing my foster family is use to 65 pound shadows because I just want to be part of the family! I am currently looking for my forever family so I can have a place to live for my whole life, become someone’s best friend, and find that human that I can cuddle with forever!

I am current on all my vaccinations, am heartworm tested, am current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, am neutered and microchipped. My rescue, TWHRA, is open to out of state adoptions if they feel the applicant is a good fit for me, and it is within a distance in which arrangements to do a ‘home visit’ can be made. TWHRA is also open to 'foster to adopt' arrangements, allowing the applicant to foster me for a 2 week trial to determine if it's a good match before adoption is finalized. My adoption donation is $125 to help defray the cost of my vetting. To learn more about me, or for an adoption application, please email Sarah at sarahthewayhome@gmail.com . I have all sorts of love to give and I promise you won’t be disappointed if you make me a member of your family! Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog like me!
