Lady's Story...
In search of a beautiful lady to share your life with? Well...you've found her!

Lady is an adult female Siberian Husky/possibly Alaskan Malamute mix who is currently searching for her forever home! She is currently located in Crescent City, CA.

Lady is a wonderful girl who was found as a stray, and shelter volunteers have been very surprised that no one ever came looking for her. Lady loves to lay around during the day lounging int he play yard with other dogs, and hardly bats an eye at the shelter's resident cat. Lady is like a lot of her Husky type cousins though, she can be very vocal and will talk to you all day long! Because she is a Husky mix she will also need a home where she has plenty of room to run and a family who will make sure she gets plenty of exercise along with all her affection that she craves.

Please read below if you are interested in adopting Lady:

Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful people at the Del Norte County Animal Control located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a coastal city on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs cant come outside and play.

We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! * please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Portland Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
