Betty's Info...

Betty's Story...
Betty is about 7 years old and ready to settle down with someone! She was bounced around quite a bit (3 homes and the shelter) and just wants a stable person in her life. She came to us with 6 kittens back in March and has since been spayed and is now able to focus on being herself and doing typical cat things. She gets along with other cats and even dogs but really would prefer to be with less cats and dogs. One or two friends for her would be okay but not 5 or 6! Betty's adoption fee has been waived but an approved application still applies. She is up to date on all shots, is spayed, and tested - for FIV and FeLV. Please consider giving Betty the stable home that she truly deserves!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Ladysmith Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
