Taco's Story...
Big fan of: Taco is a spunky little go getter who is always on the move! He would love to take a long walk around the block or play with some toys. He can be selective with his dog friends, but once he finds ones he likes, he loves to play and wrestle!

Not fan of: Taco can become fearful when walking on leash and can become reactive toward other dogs and strangers. He would benefit from working on his leash skills and obedience training with a dog savvy owner.

A little more... Both Chihuahuas and Shiba Inus can be very spunky, feisty, independent dogs. Taco is no exception! He has quite the personality! This little guy would make a wonderful companion as he is loving, playful, and active. He weighs around 15 pounds and is full grown.

Dream Home: Taco is looking for an experienced home with children 10 and older in the suburbs or a quiet part of the city.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taco, a Chicago Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
