My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a beautiful 3 year old Chocolate & Tan 16 pound male dachshund. We are not really sure of the circumstances that had him in a shelter, but, he has been a very good dachshund in his foster home. He appears to be house trained and he gets along well with the resident foster dogs except for some back and forth "comments" between him and another male dachshund. He walks well on leash, enjoys car rides. Charlie has an energetic appetite. He is being taught to sit and wait for his food, and that snatching it out of the human hand is not acceptable. There is no biting just his attempt to take advantage of food that is within range of his mouth. Charlie has been a good student. Although Charlie is fine with other dogs he would probably be just as content being the only dog in the household as long as he is not left alone for several hours on a daily basis. Charlie's ideal COLORADO home will have a fenced yard, no young children, someone home more than gone or have a dog walker to exercise him at mid-day.
