Murphy's Story...
Hello there. My name is Murphy and I am quite a handsome boy. Just 8 years young, I am what you all call "pure bred" Golden Retriever. My family turned me into AGK because they could no longer care for me. I am quite young for a senior boy - I can romp and stomp with the best of them. I get along great with other dogs and love human attention. But, cats not so much. I will chase those down like a squirrel. I am healthy and just got a full dental - and my breath is MINTY FRESH. So give AGK a jingle if you want to adopt me, because I am QUITE the catch. Love, Murphy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Knoxville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
