My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Trixie and I am 10 weeks old (9/10/14) I was lost in the woods in northern Mississippi with my brothers and sister. A man found us and brought us to a shelter where they kept us for one night until ARF could come and get us. We had been dumped in the woods after weaning from our mom and were left to die. We had been bitten by many insects and even, they think, a cat. But we are ok now and have been in the ARF vet's hospital in Jackson, MS or, as the case is with me, in a really wonderful foster home with an ARF adopter. Barbara, my foster mom, thinks I am just the smartest, sweetest girl. I play with her puppy Charlie all day long and I go to visits at my brother Buster's house. He was adopted two weeks ago! I was named after a very special puppy that Chris rescued after Hurricane Katrina and for that reason and because my namesake is gone now and was an inspiration to so many Katrina rescuers, ARF is looking for a mighty special home for me!
