Zoe's Story...
Zoe has really not seen a day at the shelter as she was taken in by a foster Mom and nursed into good health. She is now ready for adoption! Her foster family has nurtured and loved this sweet girl and she is ready for her forever home. Foster mom report: Zoe has been raised with other cats, children and a busy household. Her foster mom stresses she WOULD NOT thrive well in a home with another female cat or a dog. Shes great with kids, super playful but is quite the cuddler with her humans too. We hear she would make a great neck warmer just in time for the chilly season. She's such a lady. She likes to " supervise" litter cleaning. Everytime I clean the litter she balances on the box and checks out every thing I'm doing. She then waits patiently while I walk away and then uses the box. She's a cat that thrives on routine and is quite scared of the outdoors. She's never been outside as she was raised indoors.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoe, a Fort Leavenworth Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fort Leavenworth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fort Leavenworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Leavenworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Leavenworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Leavenworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
