Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker is a beautiful, happy, fluffy 6-yr-old purebred Golden Retriever who is looking for a loving and laid-back forever family. Some of Tucker's favorite things are riding in the car, exploring the neighborhood on walks with his
foster family, laying in the grass, and just being around his people, wherever they are! He is smart, energetic, very eager to please and loves any and all kinds of attention. He has beautiful, blonde curly hair and loves to get brushed and petted.
Tucker has great manners around people and other dogs and does not jump, paw, or bark. His foster parents are working with him on his leash skills and he is getting better with each and every walk around the block. Tucker knows sit, shake, and lay
down and is really great about coming when called. He is completely housebroken and will give a little whimper when he needs to go outside or come back in. Tucker does well on the stairs and hard wood floors. He stays with his foster mom most of the day, but has been left alone in his foster parents' mud room and does just fine.
Tucker would be a good fit for a family who works during the day or stays home.
Tucker is a big boy at about 100 lbs. He came to GRFR a little overweight and is hoping to trim
up his figure. He would love a family who could give him the diet and exercise that he needs to live a long and healthy life! He really enjoys going for walks, but his foster mom doesn't think running or strenuous hiking would be his cup of tea. This laid-back guy is friendly with other dogs, ignores cats, and greets kids and adults with a smile and lots of tail wagging. Tucker is very people-oriented and tends to prefer people over other dogs, but gets along just fine with his playful foster brother. His ideal dog-mate would be another easy-going companion who prefers to just "hang out" rather than play and wrestle, but he would be perfectly content as the only dog as well. He really just wants a family that will love him!
Please take a look at www.goldenretrieverfreedom.org for updates on Tucker! Please review GRFR's adoption requirements before submitting an online application, and please contact GRFR with any questions or for more information. We look forward to hearing from you!
