Why hello there! Thanks so much for clicking on my photo! Please let me take a few moments to introduce myself!
My name is Rose and I am a 2 year old female Shih Tzu who is looking for my fur-ever home. I came to the wonderful people at NBS Animal Rescue when my owner had a few too many dogs and couldn't care for us properly. My friends at the Devoted Barn helped get me and my sisters in touch with the great people of NBS Animal Rescue and now we're all loving life! We were all named after the Golden Girls sitcom - check out our Facebook page video for some great before and after photos of us!
I am a sweet and somewhat shy little lady at first until I get to know you and know that you won't hurt me and then I quickly become your best friend. I am a gentle and loving little lady who enjoys spending time with my people, and when I get excited to snuggle, or for treat time, I prance all over the house wagging my pretty little tail with excitement! I am doing really well with understanding how to potty outside, I'm trustworthy not to chew up the furniture (that's puppy stuff...), I get along with most other sweet and gentle mellow dogs like myself, and I like to spend time around my people. I don't think I've ever been on a leash before, so my dream home is to live in a house with a fenced yard and with a family who will slowly and gently help me learn how much fun it could be to go on a walk.
I am spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to find my fur-ever family who will love me forever! Could it be with you?
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
