Meet precious Rockford, a 25 pound, 18 month old Tibetan Terrier mix!! Rockford is a sweet and docile soul, who gets along with his foster brothers beautifully and loves to cuddle with his foster mom. Rockford and his mother and brother were surrendered to HSR because their owner did not have time for them. They had been living in the yard for all of their lives and were starved for love and attention. Rockford came to his foster home not knowing what it means to be a beloved pet; at first he wanted to stay in the yard because he thought that he was not allowed in the house. In no time, though, he has learned what a great life he is going to have now. He is sleeping on an ottoman in his foster parents’ bedroom and has already learned that a leash is not so scary and that going on walks is fun. He still doesn’t understand what toys and treats are for, but he will learn that soon, too. His foster family expected some serious potty training issues, but he uses the bathroom every time he is taken out and is already doing really well on his training. He rides peacefully in the car and follows his foster mom around like a furry shadow. He even likes to stand up and give his foster mom hugs. When his foster family has left him at home, they have not tried to crate him, since he is having so many changes right now, but he has been a perfect gentleman while they are gone and should not need crating. A precious Benji look-a-like, Rockford is very quiet and submissive, and a little shy at first, but he is learning how to trust. He is loving his new life as a pampered pet and any family who adopts Rockford will be lucky indeed.
He has had all of his shots, is HW negative and on HW preventive and will be neutered and microchipped before his adoption.
