Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chelsea was born to a breeder on December 20, 2011, and is a Maltese/Poodle mix. She had a lot of health issues, so was brought to a shelter to be euthanized, since she could not be sold. Chelsea's
parents were brother and sister, so she is inbred. She was born with a deformed front leg, and this eventually had to be removed....so she has three legs. This little girl has had a rough life, due to
numerous health issues, and surgery. She spent most of her young life at vets. Most of her health issues have now been resolved, but she does need to stay on a hypo-allergenic dog food. She gets diarrhea if she does not stay on it. Well, that is all the bad stuff......now for the good! Chelsea is sweet as she can be.....a big lap dog, and weighs nine pounds. Even though she has three legs, she is fast as lightning, and HAS to go to a home with another small dog that will play with her. She has taken a male Chihuahua as her best friend, and they play for hours. She loves to play chase. Since she has to stay on a strict diet, it is a good thing that she has chosen a healthy treat.....she LOVES carrots! She likes to curl up in a soft dog bed, with a buddy at bedtime. She is house-trained, but will have
accidents when nervous. She is looking for an adult home, that has another small dog. She needs a fenced in back yard....she has trouble walking with a leash, due to she hops when she walks, so no walks around the block for her. She also needs a home with NO swimming pool. She found a home for a day, but kept jumping in their swimming pool. Due to missing her front leg, she cannot swim. The family was afraid she would drown if they could not watch her every second while outside, so they did the right thing, and brought her back. Please let us know, if you think you have the right home for little Chelsea. Application can be found on www.fpsrescue.org
