Irma's Story...
This beautiful gray and white little lady is ready to find her lifetime home!
Irma is a total sweetheart. She just finished weaning her kittens and is ready to move on with her life of being a single mom.
She is only about 1 year old, but is spayed now and full of life and energy.
Irma does well with dogs and other cats, too.
She is vaccinated against Rabies and distemper.
Because she is over 6 months old, we ask that Irma not be declawed.
She always uses the scratching post and litter box.
Her FIV and Leukemia tests were negative.
Irma has received dewormer and Frontline.

Her adoption fee is only $15 and she will go to her new home with her medical records.

An adoption application is required for adoption and you can find that at

If you would like to meet Irma, please contact us to set up a time! She is currently living in foster care in Cottage Grove. Irma is a very nice little girl and would be happy in a home as an only cat or with other cats to keep her company as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Irma, a Madison Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Madison, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
